Project: 2 Storey Modular School Building
Our client contacted us with a requirement for a full turnkey solution for a new 2-storey modular building including groundworks and rainscreen cladding. They also requested a link to join the new buildings with the existing.
The groundworks included foundations suitable for a permanent 2-storey modular building, therefore concrete pads were installed together with the foul and storm drainage.
Excavations began April 2022
Concrete pad foundations
Once foundations were complete, the modular units were lifted into place
Once bolted down, construction on the link between the new units and existing building commenced.
Framework completed
Windows in the existing building were blocked up and walls plastered
Preparations were also being made for the cladding of the modular units with the installation of the cladding rails
Showing the white composite backer panel for the Brick slips
The Eurobrick white composite backer panel comprises a 10mm cement particle board laminated with Eurobrick’s ribbed HIPS skin.
Along with the chosen brick, this backer panel provides a system depth from 25mm (excluding supporting structure or mechanisms).
The P-Clad system has an installed system weight from 53kg/m2.
Brick slips and render were to match the existing building which the modular building was connecting to, requiring the brick slips to be cut from an existing full brick.
Brick slip cladding on ground floor and render to first floor were completed.
Two ramps were installed for access to the new modular units.
