Industrial Contracting Services

Project: 24 Johnson Drive - COVID-19

Starting back after Furlough on the 28th of April 2020 Industrial Contracting Services Limited were keen to honour our proposed start date at a fire damaged property on time as the family were waiting to re occupy.

We were able to successfully manage the risk of Covid -19 on the project by adhering to the Government Guidelines on social distancing. Our operatives were able to travel independently to site. We also limited the number of operatives on site at any one time. We also had one multi skilled operative per room and on separate floors. We programmed in any other trades and outside works to keep personnel on site at any one time to a minimum.

There were separate cleaning stations upstairs and downstairs in the toilets, supplied hand sanitisers, face masks and gloves for use by all operatives.

During this project, the merchants/suppliers had restrictions on products which did prove to be a significant challenge. They had set a limit per day per customer and to overcome this ICS Ltd had operatives waiting every day at different locations to collect materials to take to site to continue our work.

We kept the client fully updated and were also able to offer alternative products where the original material wasn’t available which allowed us to keep the project on programme. Our Contracts Manager Callums persistence and focus paid off and we were able to complete the project on time and within budget with only 1 minor snag.
