Project: Roof and Brick Slip Cladding to a Modular Building
Industrial Contracting Services have recently completed the supply and installation of a pitched roof and brick slip cladding to the first floor of a modular building at Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford, Kent.
The roof works comprised of the fitting of steel support beams between and bolted to the modular buildings steel structural columns, pre manufactured roof trusses were then securely fixed onto the steel beams.
The cladding of the roof comprised of breather membrane, tiling laths fitted to the roof trusses and then faced with artificial slate tiles. UPVC fascias, soffites, rainwater pipes and guttering were fitted around the eaves and gable ends of the building.
The EuroBrick X Clad system was used to clad the sides and gable ends of the building comprising of treated timber framing, external boarding, breather membrane, insulated backer panel with brick slip facing and pointed mortar joints. Powder coated aluminium trims were fitted around windows, doors and a weather drip to the bottom of the cladding.
The modular building was fully occupied and in use throughout the 9 week on site programme which was completed on time and to budget.
